The focus (and service offering)
The primary focus and revenue driver of the Matthew Levy Empowerment Academy is inclusive leadership and workforce training for organisations across sport, government, education and business.
Bespoke and expert-led training and programs equip executives, managers and teams with practical frameworks to create disability-confident cultures and inclusive recruitment practices.
Through intensive leadership development and disability awareness training, the Academy supports organisations to move beyond awareness into real-world change. Programs range from half-day executive briefings to multi-month leadership cohorts, tailored to sector-specific challenges and opportunities.
Leaders learn how to recognise and address ableism, create psychologically safe environments, and champion accessibility as a core part of strategy rather than a compliance tick box. Organisations gain practical tools to foster inclusive practices from hiring through to team success.
Revenue from this leadership and workforce training focus is reinvested into community impact initiatives, including scholarships, free community workshops, accessibility innovation grants and school and youth programs. This social enterprise model ensures the Academy remains financially sustainable while maximising impact for people with disability.
This is a new and evolving initiative, currnetly personally funded by Matthew Levy OAM (but open to interest from corporate and philanthropic partners) and shaped in partnership with community, sector leaders and organisations ready to do things differently. Organisations, allies and people with disability are invited to share insights, feedback and ideas to help shape what comes next.
Together, let's design for and support an inclusive future.
